Part time Credit Controller
We are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a finance team in Middlesbrough for a well-established, successful business.
Supporting the finance team, this role is diverse and ideal for a candidate with a proven history in credit control.
Job details:
Part-time: 24 hours per week/flexible on days.
Working hours: 8 am - 4 pm (30 minutes lunch)
Salary: £13,200 - £14,400 Per annum
The Role:
- Sales ledger management, overseeing and proactively managing the reduction of the company’s outstanding debt.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships, efficiently managing all debt across three companies within the group.
- Identifying and reporting issues with sales ledger accounts, suggesting solutions where possible.
- Updating associated spreadsheets for review by directors and managers.
- Ad Hoc reporting.
- Assisting with any other duties as required within the finance team.
The Candidate:
- Applicants must have a proven history working with credit control.
- Confidence to forge/develop business relationships to retrieve debt.
- Ability to accurately maintain customer contact and records.
- Highly accurate, assertive, and possessing strong negotiation skills.
- Credit knowledge to identify and investigate possible debt risk to the business.
- Experience working within a small team in an office environment.
- Good standard of IT literacy, including Microsoft Word & Excel. Sage Accounts would be an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a team player attitude.
