We are recruiting for a Care Assistant to join our team in the outskirts of York. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £13.50 per hour, increasing to £15 per hour after 6-month probation.

We offer a bespoke Case Management Service for people of all ages, with a particular emphasis on those recovering from acquired brain injuries.  We have a reputation for taking on the more complex cases, and constantly strive to provide the most efficient and effective service possible.

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Care Assistant to join a team for a lovely lady in the York area to maximise her independence following a road traffic accident in 2015.

She has a spinal cord injury resulting in Tetraplegia and at present has significant mobility problems.  She is living in a village on the outskirts of York. The client enjoys cooking, baking and participating in a well-established exercise programme.

We believe this opportunity is commutable from – Leeds, York, Thirsk, Harrogate and all surrounding villages.

Hours: 20 hours per week (day shift only) Permanant. x2 7 hour shifts, x1 6 hour shift per week

What we are looking for in our Care Assistant:

• Applicants require an empathetic & dynamic approach, with the ability to promote independence. You will be required to engage with the client in home & community activities
• Experience preferred with moving and handling tasks and delivering personal cares
• Driver/full licence essential
• Flexible approach necessary withregards to working shift patterns

The successful Care Assistant will receive support, training & supervision for this role.
