Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an experienced Town Planning Consultancy in Carmarthenshire with the hire of a Town Planner. This is a permanent position.

Our client works across multiple sectors with a variety of clients, so the appointed candidate can expect to work on projects in the residential, affordable housing, tourism, leisure, retail, mixed-use, commercial, industrial, renewables, minerals and waste sectors.

In this role, you will support your client base by helping to provide the following services;

• Planning Appraisals
• Pre-Application Enquiries to Authorities
• Pre-Application Consultation exercises for Major Developments
• Planning Applications
• Planning Appeals
• Enforcement Matters
• Development Plan Representations
• Listed Building Consent Applications
• Environmental Impact Assessments
• Certificates of Lawful Use Applications

Requirements to apply

• Planning degree (or similar)
• Previous planning experience commensurate at Town Planner level
• MRTPI (or close to submitting)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work out of the Carmarthenshire office (with some home working available)
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle
