Chichester College has an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Associate Lecturer in Creative Media at our Brighton MET (Central) Campus. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basisand, in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £22.14 - £34.55 Per Hour.

The Associate Lecturer in Creative Media role:

We are looking for a motivated lecturer who has the ability to develop and compliment the exceptional provision that already exists on our creative media programmes. Applications are invited from candidates who are experienced and qualified in the delivery of varied creative media subjects including but not limited to, Adobe Creative Suite, film, photography, graphics, animation, and web design.

We can offer guaranteed teaching hours on Thursdays and additional hours as opportunities arise.  The department is very popular and busy, and we continuously have interesting teaching opportunities in this subject area.  The successful candidate will be located at our newly built, and re-developed, Pelham Street campus in the heart of the city.

Our ideal candidate will hold a PGCE and be experienced in teaching media subjects at all levels. Knowledge of T levels and the current UALab media specifications would also be a distinct advantage. This exciting post is permanent and can start with immediate effect. 

Key Responsibilities of ourAssociate Lecturer in Creative Media:

• To undertake teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.
• To ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
• To undertake administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
• To take an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
• To develop curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.
• To understand personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.
• Keep up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.
• To participate in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.
• To undertake the delivery of literacy and numeracy.

Our ideal Associate Lecturer in Creative Media should have the below skills and experience:

• Level 3 (or equivalent) in related subject
• Experienced and qualified in the delivery of varied creative media subjects including film, photography, graphics, games, animation and web design
• Relevant creative media experience
• Fully conversant with the current UALab specifications
• Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners
