Our client, a dynamic organisation, is seeking a meticulous and dedicated individual to join their team as a Finance Manager, on a part-time, permanent basis (1dpw).

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate payroll processing and streamlined accounts management. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with a strong passion for accuracy and proficiency in managing payroll and accounts.

The responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end weekly payroll operations, covering timesheet collation, PAYE verification, holiday pay calculations, report generation, HMRC submissions, pension administration, payslip data transfer, banking, tax closures, leaver processing, and client/worker query resolution.
• Execute comprehensive monthly accounting tasks: produce P32, reconcile with Sage and HMRC, and post the holiday pay journal onto Sage.
• Manage reporting duties by preparing payroll reports, maintaining holiday pay spreadsheets, posting pension data, and processing payroll journals in Sage, including cost splits.
• Supervise the complete year-end process, generate P60s, manage employer's allowance processing, and prepare P11d information.
• Efficiently oversee both purchase and sales ledger functions.
• Ensure weekly reconciliation of bank accounts with Sage, timely posting of receipts, cash book payments, Barclaycard transactions, and expenses, along with accurate reconciliation of petty cash.
• At month-end, reconcile revenue, process salaries, manage various accounts (PAYE, NI, loans, pensions), review entries, and handle depreciation records.
• Tasks involve reviewing trial balances and control accounts, generating the initial P&L draft, and reconciling Sage's P&L with Spreadsheet P&L for management accounts.
• Quarterly responsibilities encompass producing VAT returns, reconciling in Sage, and preparing/posting intermediaries reports for HMRC.

The candidate:

• Experience within a similar Finance/Accountancy role.
• Professional, positive and supportive customer service skills.
• Strong organisational and focus abilities.
• Proficiency in various IT software.
