Head of Finance

Our client, a distinguished global heavy hitter, is on the lookout for a dynamic and accomplished Head of Finance to lead their UK finance department. This exciting opportunity is based in the vibrant city of Bury, Greater Manchester, providing you with the perfect backdrop to make a significant impact in the financial landscape.

Position – Head of Finance

Location – Bury

Salary - £85k plus 10% bonus and other fantastic perks   

The role will involve:

  • Full ownership over the country’s quality of financial statements from BUD/FCT to ACT reporting including variance analysis & cross-functional usage of relevant information.
  • Timely periodic reporting in full compliance with group policy and IFRS standards
  • Overseeing the cash flow of the business and ensuring it has appropriate treasury controls in place.
  • Control of periodic events (e.g. advance payments, tax dates)
  • Effective management of Finance operations processes in P2P, C2C and R2R either with internal or shared/external resources including liaison with internal leaders from other UK functions to ensure appropriate controls / governance as well as compliance with Group DoA.
  • Providing sound financial support and insights to enable the local management to make critical business decisions.
  • Provision of accurate contract performance data / reports to the commercial team
  • Engage in special projects on an as needed basis.
  • Managing the end-to-end annual audit process with external auditors
  • Liaise with / respond to queries from HMRC regarding any matters of taxation as required.
  • Compilation of annual renewal & declaration data to insurers / Group as part of annual insurance program
  • Develop and lead an efficient and motivated team to delivery accurate and value adding finance information.

Skills & Experience:

  • ACCA or CIMA Qualified
  • 3+ years of similar financial role in international environment
  • ERP system experience
  • Industry knowledge, relating to contracting and or production.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
  • Worked for Private Equity
  • Global exposure would be a bonus.
