Located in Ogwell, Devon, HMP Channings Wood is an acclaimed Category C men’s prison. The facility, focused on security and safeguarding, includes a main site and a vulnerable prisoner’s unit. It possess four industrial workshops, vocational training courses, educational activities, and comprehensive offending behaviour programmes. At HMP Channings Wood, individuals are equipped with functional skills such as; English, Mathematics, ICT and Essential Digital Skills, and vocational skills such as; Painting & Decorating, Barbering and Construction - skills and knowledge that can help people to make a successful transition back into society.

We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Induction Coordinator to join our growing team. Coordinating the induction of learners, you will be the first member of our team that most learners will meet, so you can have a real impact on their education journey.

About you

  • Hold a degree or relevant professional qualification, which is appropriate to the role.
  • Have excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be computer literate, including an up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Be highly motivated and set high standards for self and others.
