Our client is a leading Electronics Wholesaler based in The New Forest, we are currently seeking a highly motivated and organised Warehouse Manager to play a key role in the smooth operation of the warehouse. In this crucial position, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the warehouse, from receiving and storing goods to ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Role overview:
Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, packing, and shipping goods.
Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
Conduct regular stock counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including basic electrical items (knowledge of electrical systems a plus!).
Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure and hazard-free work environment for all staff.
Develop and optimise warehouse procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
Train and mentor warehouse staff (very small team) to enhance their skills and performance.
Collaborate with other departments to support company-wide objectives.
Hours are 9am to 5pm (37 hours per week) Flexibility can be offered if required
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in warehouse management / supervisor level or a similar logistics role.
A basic understanding of electrical products and equipment maintenance.
A proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and engage your team.
Knowledge of inventory management systems and best practices.
The ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
A forklift license is highly desirable (training provided if needed!).
A keen eye for detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
A proactive attitude and a knack for problem-solving.
