Financial Controller - 2 days a week.

An established and growing local business that puts clients at its heart, located in a beautiful part of the North Devon coastline requires a first class, skilled team member with a caring nature to service and enhance all aspects of the financial function within the business.

Are you highly organised with an excellent attention to detail and confident when dealing with sensitive information?

Are you a calm, patient and diligent person who is able to communicate to all stakeholders and customers?

The role includes (not exclusively): 

  • Sales invoices/ credit control
  • Purchase invoices
  • Supplier payment runs
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Handling and monitoring of funds
  • Monthly payroll
  • Obtaining quotes
  • Dealing with accountants for Year end
  • Planning and analysis
  • Forecasting and budgeting
  • Monthly management accounts to the directors

There is also an inexperienced Finance Assistant that will need a strong role model to support them in their early stages of their career.

Do you have AAT Level 4 or equivalent or are qualified by experience  Are you competent with accounting software, in particular Sage as well as the full suite of Microsoft Office?

There is an excellent opportunity for Financial Controller, working alongside the accountant to join the small, professional team.  They are looking for someone who can complete all aspect of ledger work, general account and banking processes and payroll as well as deal with general accounts queries.  General administration tasks will also be as required and this role is solely office based.
