Bookkeeping / Payroll Assistant - Hybrid Working!

A friendly accounting firm based in Stonehouse are looking for a Bookkeeping / Payroll Assistant due to growth and expansion. This is an excellent opportunity to join a lovely company that can offer a great work environment within a small proactive team on a permanent basis.

This role is approximately 50/50 between Payroll/Bookkeeping. Following training, once you are settled into the role, you may work some days from home - many of the team currently work up to 2 days per week but this can be flexible for the right candidate. Flexible start and finish times as well as part-time all considered.

Responsibilities:

-Maintain records and books for client portfolios - using Xero, Excel, QuickBooks and other packages. (Extra training can be given on systems.)

-Assist clients with queries in person and via telephone.

-Prepare VAT returns and/or payroll.

-Prepare monthly CIS returns.

-Prepare P11Ds.

-Collect/process all necessary submissions for each payroll, checking and offering advice on payroll matters along with employees’ wages.

Key Attributes of the candidate:

-Previous experience in an accounts practice.

-Time management skills.

-Computer literate.

-Friendly communicator.

-Team player.

Hours: Monday - Friday: 37.5hrs pw, start & finish times can be flexible + hybrid working options of up to 2 days WFH per week.

Salary: Up to £28,000 depending on experience + benefits including;
