HR Manager (Part-Time 20 to 25 hours per week) - Leeds - £32k to £40K (pro-rata) + excellent benefits

Our client is an extremely well established and successful organisation based in Leeds, due to continued growth and expansion they are now growing their team and looking to recruit an experienced Part-Time HR Manager

You will demonstrate impeccable integrity and serve as a trusted advisor to the Board of Directors and the wider management team, on HR-related issues, providing guidance and support to drive business success.

Responsibilities:

  • HR Policies and Procedures: Refine, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Regularly review and update policies to reflect best practices and organisational changes.
  • Legal Compliance: Stay abreast of employment laws and regulations to ensure the company's HR practices remain compliant. Provide guidance to the Board and the management team on legal issues related to employment, discrimination, and workplace safety.
  • Strategic HR Planning: Maintain an overarching strategic plan for the continuous improvement of the HR function within the business and actively adopt automation that drives efficiency and productivity.
  • Recruitment: Work closely with the management team and assist them with a robust recruitment process and structure to attract new talent to the organisation.
  • On boarding: Oversight of the on boarding process as new employees join the organisation, ensuring consistency in approach.
  • Performance Management: Assist the management team with the systems and processes for performance management to ensure that employees receive professional and consistent feedback, coaching, and recognition.
  • Disciplinary and Grievance: Maintain a robust process and work with the management team to ensure the delivery of best practice. Ensure accuracy of documentation and evidence collection, whilst minimising disruption to the business operations.
  • Health & Safety Measurement & Reporting: Collaborate with management and relevant stakeholders to coordinate and ensure statutory compliance of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies. Facilitate professional development initiatives to support career growth and succession planning.
  • HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilise HR analytics to track key metrics and trends related to recruitment, retention, turnover, and employee satisfaction. Generate periodic reports for the Board and provide insights to support data-driven decision-making.
  • HR Industry Trends: Stay informed of industry trends and changes in employment laws to proactively address compliance issues.

Requirements:

  • Degree educated and CIPD qualifications desirable.
  • Minimum 5-years’ experience in HR with similar responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills with a seamless ability to operate at all levels and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy of information.

Remuneration & Benefits Package:

  • Salary depending on experience £32k to £40K FTE - (pro-rata part-time).
