MPLOY are seeking an HR professional to work for a manufacturing company in South Somerset. The role is permanent, part time, and would offer between 24 – 30 hours per week – it would perfectly suit school hours, but the company are flexible on when someone works, ideally targeting 5 day per week support (minimum 4). You will be reporting into the MD, in a standalone HR Officer position to ensure the successful and smooth running of their HR function – current headcount is circa 70, with a very low level of ER challenges – they are generally a happy bunch! The role is available due to a retirement, and the plan is to recruit someone who can commence with a significant handover period with the person who is sailing off into the sunset. You will benefit from their experience and company knowledge during this period.

To do this job you’ll need to have previous Human Resources experience, ideally having significant experience with developing policies, recruiting new staff and all of the great work that goes into attracting, onboarding, training and retaining a motivated and happy workforce.

You’ll be involved with a variety of duties, that will require you to be a great internal and external communicator, and be someone who is passionate about making the place a great place to work – including being an active member on the social committee!

Working hours to suit, with the option for flexible working via flexi-time. The role needs to be 100% onsite.
