We are recruiting for a Health and Safety Officer - Part Time. The Job

As Health and safety officer you will take the lead on all Health and Safety activities onsite to include,

  • Creating and maintaining accurate and up to date health and safety records (including risk assessments, policies accident investigations, training)
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident reports, inspection findings, and recommendations for improvement
  • Provide safety training and education to employees on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and safe work practices
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to workplace safety
  • Assist with the development, improvement and auditing of the health and safety systems (including ISO 45001)

About You

You will need to possess a strong working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and best practice alongside relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.   

  • Experience with ISO 45001 and NEBOSH qualification would be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Adept at writing reports and data analysis
  • Ability to work independently whilst being a strong team player
