PIP Clinical Assessor - Ipswich

Merco Medical is recruiting Nurses, Physios, OTs and Paramedics to work on the DWP's Personal Independence Payment (PIP) service in partnership with Independent Assessment Services.

This role is based at the Assessment Centre in Ipswich, Duke Street, IP3. All full and part time roles now include a flexible self-led schedule following a 6-week working pattern based on your preferences, in agreement with your line manager.

As a Nurse/AHP Assessor you will:

Use your broad-based medical experience and clinical knowledge to conduct reviews of PIP claims, carry out independent health assessments and to write reports for the DWP.

You will be using your critical reasoning skills and drawing upon your clinical experience, skills & knowledge to ensure that your part in the assessment process is positive, dignified, and professional.

Salary:

£35K rising to £36K after 6 months and £37K after 12 months. There is also an annual 10% performance-related bonus.

Requirements:

• At least one year’s post NMC/HCPC registration Nursing or AHP experience working with people aged 16 to 64.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Be a competent user of IT.
