Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Stores Co-ordinator / Technician at our Crawley campus. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of Pro rata of £22,079 per annum (i.e. £10,373.92) plus £286.65 Crawley Weighting.

The Stores Co-ordinator / Technician role:

Are you looking for that perfect part time job that can fit around the school run, childcare responsibilities or studies whilst co-ordinating the stores of our Clinical Education provision and playing a key role in inspiring the next generation of emergency workers?

Crawley College holds a contract with South East Coast Ambulance Service to deliver ambulance apprenticeships. March 2023 saw 11 learners complete the 18 month apprenticeship, who have now gone on to provide important front-line services to the local community. As our Stores Co-ordinator / Technician, you will be responsible for managing the equipment and  teaching resources and ensure Health & Safety guidelines are followed. The work you do as a Stores Co-ordinator / Technician is key to ensuring our ambulance apprentices have a high quality learning experience that will help shape their future careers.

Key Responsibilities of ourStores Co-ordinator / Technician:

  • Facilitating daily activities within the learning environment, including the preparation of teaching resources and housekeeping.
  • Providing assistance to individuals or groups of students within the learning environment.
  • Implementing and maintaining the regulations of the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health legislation, including the reviews of health and safety policies and procedures in the workplace and undertake risk assessments.
  • Participating in curriculum area, College, employer/parent functions, meetings and promotional activities as required.
  • Participating in course review activities and the generation and implementation of new resources and action plans.
  • Monitoring and maintaining equipment and prepare replacement plans.
  • Ordering and stock taking materials and equipment.
  • Cleaning and maintaining working spaces, develop a working environment and provide technical support and assistance for projects.
  • Distributing and collectiing tools as required on a daily basis.
  • Maintaining and updating asset registration.

Our ideal Stores Co-ordinator / Technician should have the below skills and experience:

  • Level 2 Qualification in the relevant subject area
  • Experience following/applying Health and Safety procedures
  • Knowledge of Ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels
  • Flexible in approach
