Management Accountant

I am seeking a Management Accountant to join my client's team and contribute to their award-winning projects. This role is ideal for a professional who is fully qualified in CIMA or ACCA, or qualified by experience, with a strong background in management accounting. You will be part of a supportive team within a dynamic group that values continuous training and development.

• Prepare and post month-end journals.
• Assist in the production of the annual overheads budget and perform overheads variance analysis.
• Contribute to cash flow forecasting and preparation of cash outstanding reports.
• Prepare and submit statutory returns.
• Assist with the annual audit process and provide credit search reports for the commercial team.
• Operate and improve internal controls within finance.
• Prepare, review, and analyse monthly management accounts for the Group Company, including profit and loss reports and balance sheet schedules, with commentary and analysis.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation.
• Support and collaborate with subcontract, purchase ledger, and sales ledger teams.
• Assist the wider finance team with queries from other functions of the business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA, or QBE (Qualified by Experience).
• Proven experience in management accounting.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software 
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
