Female Support Worker

Pay rate: £11.33 - £11.85 - Depending on Weekday/Weekend nights

Shift Pattern:  11:00pm - 07:00am
2 WAKING NIGHTS ONLY (16 hours) + adhoc
Monday - Saturday, with some flexibility on which days you can do

Location: Butt's Green SO51, just outside of Southampton.

Due to some of the tasks and personal care included within this role, this job is open to female applicants only.

We do cannot provide sponsorshipand we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in the Southampton/Portsmouth area.

Due to the location of the patient, candidates MUST hold a full UK driving license and have access to their own vehicle.

Requirements: 

  • MUST have worked as a carer previously in the UK (Preferably atleast 6 months experience)
  • Experience working closely with families of the supported (Preferred)
  • UK drivers license ESSENTIAL + vehicle

This role will be supporting an elderly lady with dementia throughout the night, she lives with her daughter who is her primary carer.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

You’ll need to:
  • Be caring and approachable
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence 
  • Be patient and welcoming
  • Be Helpful, reliable & professional
  • A positive outlook
  • Able to help with personal care
  • Able to prepare meals
  • Potentially administer medication and Ideally hold an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or related topic, or be willing to study towards this
