Robertson Bell are excited to announce their partnership with this exciting not-for-profit organisation as they go to market for a part-time Financial Controller on a permanent basis. Reporting directly into the CEO, you will have the opportunity to shape and develop team as you hold oversight of the financial accounting function and drive improvements.

In this part-time Financial Controller position, you will:

• Hold full oversight of the finance function, working with team members to identify system and process improvements and drive these innovations forwards.
• Work with the senior leadership team to produce the organisations financial strategy and help drive this forward by ensuring your team abide to all internal financial controls.
• Be fully responsible for a team of two as you help to develop them professionally, provide training opportunities and ensure they meet all deadlines.
• Monitor key performance indicators and conduct regular 1:1’s, appraisals, and performance meetings with your team to ensure work is produced accurately and the team’s potential is met.
• Take responsibility over the production of statutory accounts and ensure these are posted to the charity commission, companies house and HMRC in a timely manner.

The successful part-time Financial Controller will:

• Have experience as a line manager or supervisor, having held 1:1’s, appraisals, and performance review meetings.
• Be fully CCAB qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIPFA or similar).
• Have experience working in, or a strong desire to join, the not-for-profit sector.
• Be a strong communicator with excellent communication skills who can influence and persuade senior stakeholders.
• Have a strong financial accounting background and have experience holding oversight of a finance function.
