Part Time Financial Controller / Bookkeeper

Part Time Financial Controller / Bookkeeper - Birmingham - £25k - £30k per annum (pro rata)

Our client is a well-established construction company based in Birmingham; due to continued growth and expansion they are looking to recruit an experienced Part Time Financial Controller / Bookkeeper.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, invoice processing, purchase orders, payment management, and bank statement reconciliation.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
  • Maintain accurate client records through filing and document scanning.
  • Support general administrative tasks for smooth office operations.
  • Operate monthly payroll.

Applicants should possess the following skills / experience:

  • Experience with Xero or similar
  • Experience within a similar role is essential
  • Excellent team player
  • AAT Level 3 Qualification is preferable but not essential if you have a good level of experience

The role will be working 3 full days per week within the clients Birmingham office.
