Night Support Worker - Part-Time OR

The people who use our services tell us weve changed their lives, and we are now looking for someone great to join our team as a night care worker. You will work as part of a team involved in the general day to day support of service users, to create and maintain safe and secure environment in the unit that is welcoming and friendly for all who use it.

Our staff have come from all walks of life; some have a faith, and some dont. We dont want you to be a cog in a wheel. We want you to bring your skills and experience either from the care sector or gained elsewhere we know they are transferrable. Your journey wont stop there though as, using the strengths of a large diverse organisation, well support you to develop new skills and qualifications and give you the opportunities to put them into practice.

Were all about the people we support. We want them to achieve the highest quality of life they can and youll be more important in that than you know. Youll need to be able to discern the person behind the behaviour and be able to develop strong supportive relationships with colleagues. Theres space to be creative and find ways to help the people who use our services achieve their goals so when you see a problem youll need to have the heart to fix it.

This is a non sleeping post, working 31.5 hours per week on a shift rota - 4 nights on, four nights off.

As we do our work in Christs name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.

This permission is without exception granted by UK Visas and Immigrations.
