Maintenance Engineer – Montracon – Part Time

Montracon are now recruiting for a part time Maintenance Engineer to join their friendly team in Doncaster.

Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer:

  • Allocate resources so as to deliver the agreed production plan to high standards and in conformance with Company standards and procedures.
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through defined best practices to reduce operational costs and meet company financial targets
  • Conduct routine scheduled maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
  • Diagnose breakdown problems;
  • Fit new parts making sure equipment is working correctly;
  • Conduct quality inspections on jobs;
  • Liaise with all departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues;
  • Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components;
  • Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment;
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs;
  • Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs;
  • Assist with the improvement of health and safety policies and procedures;
  • Work with specialist equipment in the production process
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures;
  • Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns
  • Ensure the safe operation of machinery within the area of responsibility.
  • Identify, report and correct unsafe working conditions.
  • The above list is not an exhaustive list of duties and the postholder will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by their changing role and overall business objectives in the organisaiton.

The Ideal Maintenance Engineer:

  • Strong experience of electrical and electronic engineering
  • Strong experience of manufacturing engineering
  • Strong experience of mechanical engineering
  • Strong experience of production engineering
  • Confident and resourceful in the face of challenges
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures and instructions
  • Able to demonstrate, promote and embed safe working behaviours within the team
  • Experience of continuous improvement process
  • Hours must be within factory hours, but they are flexible and can be tailored.
  • Salary is dependent on experience.
