Financial Controller, Part-time 25-30hpw, Camberley, to £38k pro rata
All-round Accounting Professional required to take responsibility for this worthy organisation’s day-to-day finances. This varied part-time role is pivotal in ensuring that the leadership team has access to accurate and timely financial information for operational and strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and Financial Director and day to day responsibilities will include:
Contribute to the annual strategic, operational and financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting and risk management.
Manage all day-to-day aspects of financial management and ensure financial procedures, policies, and systems are up-to-date and fit-for-purpose.
Produce efficient and timely information for management accounts, reports, and analysis.
Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts in compliance with relevant regulations.
Attend and contribute to Board Meetings and Finance Committee sessions as necessary.
Manage cash and investments in line with policies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and maintain up-to-date policies.
Represent the organisation externally in partnerships and associations as appropriate.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in financial management within a similar role.
An understanding of charity finance regulations, legislation and best practices would be beneficial, as would knowledge of statutory accounting and compliance with the Companies Act and Charity SORP.
Ability to contribute to strategic planning and risk management.
Experience in producing management accounts and financial reports.
Proficiency in managing taxation requirements, including VAT, PAYE, Gift Aid and Corporation Tax.
Experience with payroll processes and pension scheme management.
Strong IT skills, particularly in financial systems.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to empower and enable other departments to be financially literate.
