Other Skills and Qualifications
Essential
Good level of general education to GSCE (or equivalent) standard
Experience in working with older people
Experience in organising and running a range of events/activities
Experience and understanding of risk assessments, creating and reviewing them
Knowledge of good practice in relation to working with people living with dementia e.g. moving and handling and the safeguarding of adults at risk
Confident working with a range of IT in particular Word, Outlook and Excel
Desirable
First aid trained or basic knowledge
Knowledge of health and safety
Knowledge of gentle exercises appropriate for older people
Understanding of volunteer work and work experience
Clean current drivers licence (that meets criteria to drive a minibus)
