We are looking for Warehouse Operatives to work flexibly on an Annualised Hours contract. The role will be located at our site in Wellingborough.

What is an Annualised Contract and how does it work?

As an employee on Annualised Hours Contract, you can independently decide how many shifts you can do weekly. You will be treated as permanent staff and will have access to our benefits if you commit to the hours set in your contract.

Don’t worry, we can work around you, if you say you can do 8 - 40 hours per week between 6am to 2pm, or 2pm to 10pm, we can offer you a contract with your preferred working hours and, in return, we will expect you to work and adhere to those hours.

Also, we have an option to work between 8-16 hours during the first three weeks of the calendar month and between 24-40 hours during the last week of the calendar month (this work pattern is optional).

How can I book shifts?

We will send shifts directly via our Joined Up system; this will include the location, shift pattern and who to report to. All you must do is simply book the shifts that suit you and turn up. Please note, shifts are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Main Duties of a Warehouse Operative

- Receiving, picking, packing, putting away, replenishment, re-work and dispatch.
- Participating in general warehouse duties where manual handling would be involved in the process.
- Continuously looking to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in business operation and customer service.
- Carrying out any other reasonable requests to support the effective running of the warehouse.
- Ensuring any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to your line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity.
- Ensuring all company procedures are adhered to, including absence, performance, standards of behaviour, taking due consideration of company values.
- Ensuring all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, escalating any concerns to your line manager at the earliest opportunity.
- Ensuring all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, raising any defects to your line manager.
- Ensuring 5S standards are always maintained.

Required skills

- Good level of general education, including good understanding of both written and verbal English
- Literate and numerate
- Previous warehouse experience is an advantage
- Awareness of manual handling techniques is an advantage
- Flexibility to work shifts where required
