Compliance Administrator

Working as part of the maintenance and facilities team, this role is responsible and accountable for the delivery of job specific responsibilities in line with a legal programme of work which includes carrying out and processing certification and/or inspections made under the relevant building regulations and ensuring that needs and statutory requirements are met. You will undertake monitoring, compliance and enforcement activities for building related activities and to arrange to undertake inspections for compliance.

Main Duties

  • Allocate EHS responsibilities and duties for site personnel and approved contractors as per defined schedule of works.
  • Maintain & coordinate contractors on site, ensuring they follow site procedures and policies.
  • Oversee and ensure that EHS related documents & databases are kept up to date.
  • Raising of purchase orders.
  • Benchmarking of contractors.
  • Active monitoring of all contractors whilst undertaking compliance activities on site.
  • Preparing evidence and information required to meet the company’s international safety & environmental standards (ISO 14001 & ISO45001).
  • Carrying out inspections to ensure compliance with the relevant standards.
  • Reporting to the EH&S manager on activities undertaken in regards to non-compliant works.
  • Gaining quotes from third parties for all Health, safety and environmental training.
  • Maintaining the companies training databases.
  • Purchasing of sundry safety equipment. - signage, PPE & first aid supplies.
  • Preparing monthly reports and statistics & presentation slides.
  • Involvements in site inspections.
  • Issuing Permits to work for all high-risk activities.
  • Ensuring that contractor risk assessments and method statements are suitable and sufficient which eliminate/reduce the risk to contractors working onsite.
  • Preparing and sending out monthly comms to staff, managers and Executive team members.
  • Set the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of EHS procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance with Company procedures and legal obligations.
