Accounts Tutor

**Part time. Mix of home based and attending the training centre in Walsall**

Do you have a passion for teaching? This role would suit somebody with experience working in an accounts or finance position, where you are already involved in teaching others, or would love to teach others, as training would also be provided for the right person.

What we need from you as an experienced Accounts Tutor:

  • You will need some occupational experience of working in an accountancy/finance role and would need to have achieved qualifications which would give them the knowledge and skills to be able to deliver AAT qualifications at level 3 as a minimum. Level 4 would be an advantage
  • You will be well organised, with experience meeting deadlines
  • Ideally hold a UK Driving Licence, with access to your own vehicle, or be able to easily commute to Walsall town centre and possibly Birmingham

Desirable:

  • Any teaching qualifications, but not essential

What this role involves:

You will prepare and deliver quality and engaging teaching sessions to groups of level 2 and level 3 apprenticeship/AAT learners. Duties include:

  • Communicate with both learners and their employers regarding progress and conduct 10-12 week progress reviews with the learners and employers
  • Ensure learners are sufficiently prepared for both examinations and End Point Assessments
  • Maintain electronic recording systems on required IT platforms used by the company
  • Be able to plan and organise time to complete required tasks within deadlines and be able to support learners to achieve their qualification by the planned target dates

Salary: £25k - £30K (pro rata) dependant on qualifications and experience.

Hours: Working 3 days hours 22.5 per week or 2 days 15 hours per week - 7.5 hours per day.

Current position is 2 days, Tuesday and Wednesdays - flexible, but option to do 3 days with additional day to be decided.
