Salary: Actual salary £5,260.41 - £8,916.13 (FTE £30,618.00 - £51,896.00) dependent on experience

Reed Education is working in partnership with an exciting new school in Kidderminster to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist. This innovative school caters to students aged 5-19 with ASC/SEMH needs. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing service and make a significant impact as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Main purpose of the role:
Provide high-standard speech and language therapy assessments and interventions.
Offer advice and training to parents, carers, and professionals in line with treatment plans.
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to support the communication needs of young people at Wilden View School.
Key duties:
Implement speech and language interventions as outlined in students’ statutory documentation.
Conduct baseline communication assessments for all students and write SMART targets for education plans.
Lead and deliver training to the education team in social communication.
Carry out a whole-school classroom language audit and provide SLT recommendations.
Plan and implement individual communication programmes with accessible guidelines for delegation.
Monitor and review communication aims/programmes and adjust as necessary.
Attend and contribute to annual reviews, providing clear and concise written reports.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Registered member of RCSLT and HCPC.
Professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
Adherence to RCSLT clinical guidelines and HCPC standards.
At least two years’ post-graduate experience as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist.
Experience with learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Conditions, and the EHCP process.
