We are recruiting for a business with offices across England, including a welcoming and supportive team in the lovely market town of Thirsk.

Our client is looking for someone to strengthen their current team of 8 working as a Bookkeeper/Trainee Accountant.

Candidates with established bookkeeping experience will be considered as well as those with business administration skills looking to transition their career into Accountancy! You may also be a recent graduate looking to kick start your career in role like this!

It is important that you communicate confidently and can build relationships with various stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Inputting of customer and supplier invoices

· Reconciliation of bank, cash and supplier accounts

· Monitoring fixed asset register

· Completion and submission of VAT returns

· Entering journal transactions, including wages and Year End adjustments

· Preparation of reports including balance sheets, profit and loss, aged debtors and creditors

· Dealing with cloud accounting software

You will ideally live within a 30 minute commute of Thirsk to be considered for this role.

This is a permanent position offering full-time (37.5 hours) or part-time hours to the successful candidate.
