Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with a leading and well-established SME to recruit a hands-on and experienced part-time Finance Manager based in their Cheltenham, Gloucestershire office. This part-time finance role will report directly to the company directors and take full control of all accounting/bookkeeping processes for the business in a sole accounting position. The role is around 20 - 25 hours per week (NEG) and can be flexible on working hours for the right finance professional. Open to candidates who are qualified by experience or qualified, from industry or practice.

Your new role

Key duties will involve preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts to the company directors, managing and processing all transactional duties to include purchase ledger and sales ledger with related processes. You will be processing monthly and weekly payrolls, credit control processes, cash flow management, bank/credit card reconciliations and assist in any ad-hoc projects/duties for senior management. You will be involved in daily financial administration for the business, bookkeeping processes, support with HR administration, resolving financial queries for all internal stakeholders, and advise the company directors on the financial position of the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this part-time Finance Manager role, you will need experience within a similar position, ideally within an SME with an extremely hands-on approach. You will be used to managing your own workloads to meet deadlines, a strong problem solver who can use their own initiative, and be comfortable building relationships with both internal/external parties at all levels. You have a good level of MS excel skill, trained in a range of financial systems, and be a quick learner who can adapt to business needs. Experience with QuickBooks financial systems would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This permanent Finance Manager role offers a salary between £30,000 - £38,000 per annum, pro rata, over 20 - 25 hours per week, dependable on experience based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
