Regulatory Officer - UK, Europe and rest of World

Location: Remote or Alton, GU34 2QR, Hampshire
Salary: £25-35k Pro-rata pa, DOE + Benefits
Contract: Part time, Permanent
Hours: 23-31 hrs/wk - between the hours of 08.00 - 17.00 Monday - Friday

Due to continued growth, PelGar International Ltd is now recruiting for a Regulatory Officer working either remotely or from our Alton office.

Regulatory Officer - About the role:

To assist in compilation and submission of biocidal product applications in the UK, EU and the rest of the world.

Submit and manage applications to amend existing EU, UK and RoW authorisations.

Complete administrative tasks, such as maintaining internal records and databases.

Main Duties:

• Communicating with regulatory authorities (e.g. requesting updates on ongoing applications, forwarding responses to the relevant team member, recording updates/progress in the relevant database etc)
• Assisting with the compilation and submission of biocidal product applications (e.g. carrying out simple updates to submission documents, requesting supporting documentation from other teams and Chamber of Commerce etc).
• Submitting and managing change applications for existing authorisations, where deemed appropriate by senior colleagues (e.g. applications for additional trade names, pack sizes etc).
• Forwarding invoices to accounts for payment.
• Monitoring for messages from authorities and forwarding them to the relevant team member or responding where appropriate.
• Alerting relevant teams when applications have been authorised.
• Ensuring biocidal product authorisation documents are filed appropriately.
• Assisting with the maintenance of internal submission and authorisation databases.
• Adhering to Health and safety policy and guidance
• Any other reasonable request.

Regulatory Officer - Key Skills, Experience and Attributes:

• 2:1 honours degree in a scientific discipline.
• Able to use Microsoft Office to good effect and master new IT systems quickly.
• Experience of managing multiple projects/tasks to meet hard deadlines.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Highly professional attitude
• Ambitious and willing to learn (subsequent progression to Senior Regulatory Officer may be offered to a suitable candidate).
