Company Accountant / Finance Manager / Financial Controller

Our client is an owner-managed company based in Leatherhead, Surrey. They currently have a rare opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join them in a sole charge capacity as their Company Accountant / Finance Manager.

The management team welcome applications from full time candidates or those looking for circa 30 hours per week / 4 days per week. You will be working closely with the Directors and will enjoy a hybrid working arrangement and flexible working hours too. 

The business sits within the property sector and has a broad client portfolio and is expanding into other business areas. Current revenue is circa £3 Million.

As the sole charge accountant within the business, this is a vital role for the company. You will be a trusted member of the senior management team and oversee all aspects of the day-to-day finances. 

The main accounting system used is Xero. The core duties will include the following:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Budget preparation and analysis
• Sales invoicing and accounts payable
• Quarterly VAT Returns
• Multiple bank reconciliations
• Other Admin & Compliance work

This role will suit an experienced accountant, who enjoys a varied and "hands on" role, where you can add value through improved systems / procedures and management reporting.
