Summary

We've looking for a Welcome & Service Assisant to join our team at Winkworth Arboretum. 

Exciting new visitor facilities are expected to open this summer at Winkworth, with a significant investment in its infrastructure, to accommodate our growing visitor numbers. You'll play a core part in giving information, providing fantastic customer service as part of a passionate team, answering questions and ensuring everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.

The Hours: Weekdays and weekends, including Bank Holidays

Duration: Permanent Contract

Interview: 24th April

Start date: As soon as possible

Days per week: 2 days, 15 hours per week

Salary: £11.64 per hour

You'll work within a close-knit team and be vital in ensuring our visitors have a great day out.

You'll be helping everyone feel welcome to enjoy our places in the ways they want to and focus on growing support through fundraising and membership, inspiring visitors to support Winkworth Arboretum.

What you'll be doing

Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion.

You'll be vital in ensuring our visitors have a great day out and you will play a big part in this. Come rain or shine, indoors or outside, no two days are the same here. As part of the Visitor Experience team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the presentation of our welcome areas is spot on, engaging our visitors, making them feel welcome and keeping all areas clean and tidy. You’ll tell our visitors about the amazing work we do and what their money is funding, highlighting the important role our members play in supporting our charity as well as the benefits of National Trust membership. You’ll work flexibly across all areas of the operation, providing support to the teams as needed. You'll also be working with volunteers who provide extra support to the team.
