GCSE AND FUNCTIONAL SKILLS ENGLISH LECTURER

Hours:  30 hours per week over 4 days

Salary: £38,345 to £40,595 per annum pro rata

The successful candidate will join our friendly and supportive English team and work with our full-time students and our apprentices studying vocational courses at the college.   Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate our learners is essential.  A good knowledge of barriers to learning is desirable.

You must have experience in teaching both GCSE and Functional Skills English and possess the following qualifications:

• Subject related degree or equivalent professional qualification
• A recognised teaching qualification
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade A*-C) or equivalent Level 2 qualification 
• Minimum of Level 3 (or equivalent qualification) in English or Literacy
