Are you an experienced Support Worker with an interest in supporting a client within his home environment, the local community and further afield?  If so, this could be the perfect role for you.

Our Client

Richard is a very sociable older gentleman who has a number of hobbies and interests.  He lives at home with his wife and benefits from the support of his established care team.

Following a car accident just over 10 years ago, Richard sustained a number of physical injuries as well as a brain injury.  Although independently mobile within the home and over short distances, Richard may choose to use his mobility scooter or electric bike when outside.  He can struggle with poor memory and has difficulties in implementing his daily routines and planning or organisation.  Other effects of his injury include headaches and fatigue as well as some speech and language challenges.  Although Richard does not need help with personal care, he may need reminding and supporting with his routines on occasion.

Interests & Hobbies

Richard has a number of hobbies and interests and part of the Support Worker role will be to enable him to continue to enjoy these.  Home based activities he enjoys include games on his iPad and listening to Podcasts whilst community based hobbies include bowling, cycling, archery, swimming and exercise classes. It would be of benefit if applicants had knowledge or shared interest in some or all of these hobbies.

The Role

We are looking for a new Support Worker to join this happy, established and professional team to provide a high quality of support to enable Richard to continue living life to the full.

The successful candidate is likely to have a naturally positive attitude with a calm and confident approach to their role.  You will be required to support our Client in his day to day life, being mindful of his difficulties and ensure that guidance is provided when necessary to support his health and wellbeing and to encourage positive decision making.

Applicants should hold a full, clean UK driving licence.

We have the following permanent hours available each month, however specific days and shift times will be agreed with the successful candidate in due course.
