Tax Semi Senior

TPF Recruitment are recruiting for a fantastic firm of accountants based near West Malling who are looking for a Tax Semi Senior to join their team on either a full time or part time basis. This will be a personal tax focused position, where you will support the team with all compliance tax matters and have the opportunity to support on advisory work too. There is also an opportunity to get involved in some corporate tax work too,.   • Working with Director and Managers on technical assignments/projects.
  • Oversee/liaising with clients, HMRC, working with the Director on successful delivery and planning solutions across both personal and corporate tax.
  • To meet new and current clients with the appropriate Director/Manager planning, researching and note taking of meetings and being a main point of contact with those clients going forward.
  • Research and find supportive information to support Director’s decisions.
  • Assist with client relationship building providing an efficient, client focused and proactive service to meet the clients’ needs.
  • Writing necessary letters/documentation supported by Director following in-house branding.
  • Providing support to our Accounts Manager and her team as and when necessary during busy periods assisting with tax questions such as CGT, IHT, income tax planning, and VAT to ensure all deadline dates are met.
  • Assisting Accounts Manager with providing analysis and forecast financial reporting; such as advising of potential issues, trends and improvements.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional accountancy environment. 
  • ATT or formal tax qualification or qualified by experience.
  • Confident in engaging with clients to build a rapport and offer tax solutions and directions alongside the Director.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Able to work independently with appropriate support and concurrently managing a number of cases for clients.
  • Knowledge and use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and accountancy packages such as Xero and CCH.
  • Full driving licence.
