Employment Coach - part time

Are you seeking part time work and would like to make a difference working for a charity supporting ex-offenders? This role can be either 3 or 4 days per week (non-weekend days).  It is mostly office based for the days you are working in Southwark.

Working closely with various partners, you'll support individuals with lived experience of substance use or those facing economic inactivity to access training and employment opportunities.

The key focus is working with your clients to move them towards employment.  So typical tasks could include:

  • Screen and refer participants, ensuring they receive appropriate support.
  • Conduct risk assessments and collaborate with partners for comprehensive care.
  • Facilitate use of the Careers Pro platform and guide individuals through self-assessment.
  • Promote training and employment opportunities and support participants in accessing them.
  • Coordinate workshops and maintain accurate records.

You might have previously worked as an Employment Advisor, Careers Coach, Key Worker, Probation Officer or Resettlement Worker.

Please apply via this advert – everyone gets a response (if you haven’t had a response by chance, please email the Red 5 Hello email address and someone will come back to you or call the office and ask for James).  You must have some experience working within employment support / recruitment.  Or of working with ex-offenders or substance misuse client groups.

Again, do feel free to call the office and ask for James (number on the Red 5 People website).

PLEASE NOTE:  The role is advertised as £25,000 - £29,000 which is dependant upon experience. The advertised rate is what a full-time salary would be.  So as an example, starting at £27,000 for 3 days a week this would be £16, 200 or for 4 days would be £21, 600.
