F&B Assistant

Location: The Pilchard Inn

F/T: Seasonal and permanent vacancies available

Salary: £11.44 per hour (up to £23,795.20 per annum)

This well-known Pub/Bar is looking for waiting staff for its Pub Bar and Café to deliver a great customer experience to all guests. Being located on Burgh Island, it is an incredible opportunity to be part of.

Responsibilities for the role:

• To perform daily and deep cleaning duties as directed
• Check guests’ identification as appropriate.
• To ensure that the manager is informed of requirements for food stock, equipment, and chemicals as appropriate & with sufficient
• Check all menu items are available at the start of your shift and advise guests of unavailable items when menus are presented.
• To ensure the safety of Hotel and Pilchard Inn guests and other team members on & off your shift
• To prepare all areas of the business for lunch and dinner service ensuring quality and cleanliness standards are adhered to
• Ensure menus are printed and ready for service.
• To understand and be able to advise guests on matters of allergens and intolerances, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Ensure the guests receive efficient, friendly service.
• To clean and restock the coffee machine, restocking the condiments, drinks preparation area, and service equipment.
• Perform any cashing up duties
• To ensure all wastage is recorded according to the correct procedure.
• To be aware of guest allergies, before orders are taken.
• Collect payments from customers & prepare tills7
