We want landscapes with more nature, that are accessible to more people, and that help to address the climate crisis. If you're experienced in delivering land use change and environmental farm advice, we'd love you to help us achieve this vision.
What it's like to work hereYou’ll be part of Midlands and East of England NT Land and Nature team in our internal consultancy: a multidisciplinary team of experts, from curators and nature conservation advisors to project managers and archaeologists, who provide specialist consultancy advice to the places we care for, to help make things happen.
Your contractual location will be the nearest National Trust office to your home location, but our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week.

What you'll be doingYou'll provide support, direction and technical advice to property and estate teams on all aspects of the management of our agricultural land. This includes land farmed and managed ‘in hand’, as well as supporting our tenants and others responsible for managing National Trust land.
You’ll be providing advice on sustainable nature friendly farming, delivering innovative approaches to re-purposing our land to deliver more for nature, carbon, and access. Working closely with our farming tenants, you’ll build relationships and trust, to offer support and advice to enable them to develop and maintain profitable, sustainable farm businesses, whilst also helping to deliver the NT strategy across their holdings.
Helping and supporting the development of new Agri-environment schemes, you’ll see opportunities for high nature status farming and for the creation of bigger and better habitats and carbon capture. You’ll share and champion your expertise in Agri-ecological farming helping others to transition to new innovative farming practices that move forward our ambitious strategy at pace.
