Part Time HR Advisor

Salary: £30,000 pro rata per annum

Working pattern: 21 hours per week over 3 days ideally - office based

The role:

Due to continued growth our client is looking for a talented and ambitious HR generalist to join their team.

Working in a collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to develop long-lasting client relationships with a variety of clients from a diverse range of sectors.

As a HR advisor, you'll work closely with clients to gain a thorough understanding of their organisational objectives and culture. You will be comfortable to work with stakeholders at all levels our clients organisations, assessing risk and providing expert support and guidance in a wide range of employee relations matters.

Responsibilities as a HR Advisor

  • Responsible for developing and enhancing excellent client relationships to ensure timely and high-quality HR advice is maintained at all times
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing an in-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Creating and/or developing employee handbooks and policies that are legally compliant and tailored to the client’s needs
  • Produce high-quality, legally compliant documentation promptly.
  • Advising clients on a wide range or HR related scenarios including support for investigations, disciplinary or grievance procedures and organisational change
  • Attend formal meetings and hearings where required to act as minute taker

The successful candidate:

  • At least 12 months experience working in a HR advisor/or manager role
  • Proven experience at managing relationships and advising on HR associated matters (grievance, disciplinary performance management etc)
  • Good understanding of employment law and HR best practice
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of clients, to build relationships and become a trusted advisor
  • Be able to provide commercial advice which translates HR theory, or employment legislation into workable recommendations for our clients by assessing risk and understanding the clients business objectives
  • Ability to work well under pressure, being able to prioritise and manage expectations
  • Highly organised
  • High attention to detail
  • Ideally CIPD qualified or willing to work towards the qualification
