Pathway specialist - Property (Tutor)

Do you have a conveyancing legal background with an interest in Tutoring students?

We have a permanent opportunity for a conveyancing legal professional to join a Law School on a permanent basis, for 2-3 days a week (across Mon - Thurs). This role is fully remote as learners are online, but there would be a requirement to attend in-person meetings in Bedford, up to 6 times per year.

Key duties:

  • Manage caseload of learners: onboard, assess skills, and create development plans.
  • Deliver group and 1:1 teaching sessions at all levels in designated areas of specialism via webinar, checking and supporting learning and the practical application of skills
  • Assessing learners' formative work according to mark schemes, providing detailed feedback on all areas of strength and identifying areas for development
  • Supporting learners by conference call, email or online forum
  • Ensure learner safety and well-being, report any concerns.
  • Monitor learner engagement and progress, raise concerns as needed.
  • Conduct progress reviews, set objectives, and adapt plans accordingly.
  • Assist learners with assessments and provide additional support when necessary.
  • Provide feedback on learner experience and contribute to quality improvement.
  • Participate in standardisation processes and staff development.
  • Contribute to improving learning resources and stay updated in relevant subject areas.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Team for progression opportunities.

Essential experience:

  • CILEX graduate/Law degree or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in designated practice area (property).
  • Some experience of delivery/training, this could include in-house training of colleagues.
