Accounts Vacancy - Part-time - Flexible working

We are recruting for an Accounts Person who has experience with UK Tax & VAT and using the software Xero

Part-time - Max 25 hours per week

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Xero for a portfolio of clients.

- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions, including reviewing invoices and coding expenses

- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy

- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information and resolve any discrepancies

- Assist with year-end audits and tax preparations

- Prepare accounts for SME's

- Able to produce Tax returns to a high standard with great accuracy and attention to detail.

- Able to produce accurate VAT returns, including recoding and reconciliations.

- Able to reconcile the balance sheet

- Payroll experience preferred.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Accounts assistant / Client manager

- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Xero, bright pay, bright manager and Syft

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
