About us

At Apollo Home Healthcare, we provide high-quality, person-centred care to people in the comfort of their own homes. Every individual we support has unique needs – we tailor every care package to them, building a compassionate and skilled team around their requirements.

We live and work by the 6 Cs: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment – and we’re looking for people who share those values.

Meet Our Client

We’re looking for a caring, patient, and reliable Healthcare Assistant to join a dedicated care team supporting a young boy with complex care needs who lives at home with his loving family in Newton Aycliffe.

In this rewarding role, you’ll provide personalised 1:1 care during school hours, helping him stay safe, comfortable, and happy throughout the day. You’ll assist with personal care and mobility, administer medication, and manage clinical interventions, all while promoting his well-being through play, comfort, and communication.

He’s a bright, happy little boy who loves playtime, cuddles, and lots of attention. He delights in listening to Mr Tumble, splashing in water, and creating music with toys, drums, or even pots and pans. He thrives on gentle reassurance and responds with pure joy to laughter, smiles, and playful interaction.

He feels happiest when surrounded by his parents and familiar carers, so building a trusting, nurturing relationship will be key to helping him thrive.

If you’re passionate about making a real difference and enjoy bringing fun and warmth to a child’s day, we’d love to hear from you.

Please note: Due to the nature of our vacancies, our clients have the right to request either female or male staff.

“This isn't just a job – it’s your opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life.”

What You’ll Need

  • 3 months’ care experience
  • Confident with medication, personal care, moving and handling
  • Clear communication skills
  • Tracheostomy experience preferred

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly pay with enhancements for nights and weekends
  • Regular confirmed rotas and flexible scheduling
  • Reward & recognition programme
  • Supportive management and 24/7 on-call support
  • Opportunity to grow within a values-led, national care provider

Our funded training, including clinical skills, comes at no cost to you, though attendance is unpaid.
