A dynamic, values-driven arts organisation in London is seeking a strategic and experienced Finance Director to join its senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role at the heart of a thriving cultural venue known for bold programming, deep community engagement, and sector-leading innovation.
? About the Role
- Title: Finance Director
- Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (3 days/week)
- Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 FTE
You’ll lead financial strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and support long-term planning across theatre, cinema, and community programmes. Reporting to the Executive and Artistic Directors, you’ll work closely with the Board and oversee a small finance team.

Key Responsibilities - Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across the organisation
- Prepare management accounts, cash flow projections, and statutory reports
- Oversee compliance with Charity Commission, Companies House, and HMRC regulations
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and funders
- Support business planning for theatre, cinema, and catering operations
- Ensure robust financial systems, controls, and reporting tools are in place
- Provide strategic insight to the Board and Finance & Risk Committee

About YouYou’re a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with:
- Strong charity finance experience (SORP, fund accounting)
- Strategic thinking and operational know-how
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A passion for the arts and inclusive culture
Bonus if you bring experience in theatre, film, or entertainment finance, VAT partial exemption, and production accounting.
