Part time Purchasing Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and organised Purchasing Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. Working closely with management, you will support the coordination of purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and stock control to ensure smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and organising the purchase of materials and subcontracted services.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate reconciliation with supplier invoices.
  • Process supplier invoices and resolve any related queries.
  • Maintain and update the company's ERP/MRP system.
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers to ensure best value and service.
  • Monitor deliveries and communicate any potential delays or shortages.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and support inventory control.
  • Assist with supplier appraisals and performance reviews.
  • Provide general administrative and purchasing support as required.

Skills Required

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Confident in liaising with suppliers and managing queries.
  • Experience with ERP or purchasing systems is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
