Hypo hounds are searching for a volunteer Operations Manager to oversee the daily running of the charity 3 days a week.
You will be ensuring efficiency whilst managing resources and leading teams and supporting our Chief Executive to help protect the longevity of the Charity.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Daily Operations:
Managing the daily activities of the Charity to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This includes supervising our employees, allocating resources, and optimizing workflows.
Implement Policies:
Ensure policies and procedures are adhered too to enhance productivity and efficiency across the charity.
Team Management: Foster the growth and development of team members, ensuring that they are aligned with the charity's goals. This includes mentoring staff, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating CPD training.
Resource Allocation:
Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure they are utilized effectively.
Collaboration:
Work closely with various departments, such as finance, HR, Trustees and marketing, to align all facets of the Charity toward common goals and improve overall efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications - MUST BE A DOG LOVER - with a strong work ethic and amazing sense of humour.
Experience: Prior experience in a management or leadership role is often necessary, with a proven track record of improving operational efficiency and team performance.
Leadership Skills:
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential for managing teams and fostering a positive work environment.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyse data and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
Work Environment
Operations Manager Role is a voluntary role to help us to support our Chief Executive grow the charity in 2025/2026 and beyond.
Typically working in our National Training Centre Maidstone with the option for remote working 3 days a week.
