The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting a Senior Finance Business Partner to join Ed Quiery’s Business Partnering team.  In this role you will provide high-quality finance business partnering to senior leadership within QBE Re, managing financial planning, management reporting, and analysis for supported leaders.

This role involves providing strategic support and insight to the Executive Director – QBE Re International, as well as providing accurate and timely management reporting to key stakeholders.  You will play a key role in the setting, validating and challenge on the business plans, as well as providing insight and input to the monthly close, quarterly close and prelim processes.

Your new role

  • Provide Finance support to enable the delivery of the QBE Re International business plan, managing relationships and supporting senior management decision-making.

  • Develop and implement financial planning processes, challenging expense plans and identifying cost-saving initiatives.

  • Support the preparation and consolidation of the budget, providing regular management information and analysis.

  • Develop strong relationships with senior management and act as a trusted business adviser on finance matters.

  • Provide regular updates to improve commercial awareness and manage team resources effectively.

  • Contribute to functional strategy development and translate it into achievable targets and goals.

  • Prioritise workloads, balance conflicting demands and ensure alignment with business strategy.

  • Manage operational budgets, support compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

About you

  • Extensive experience in financial roles.

  • Data analysis and reporting experience.

  • Increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Experience managing or leading others.

  • Experience managing business change programmes.

  • Managing customer support/operational management.

  • Project management and change management experience.

  • Extensive experience supporting business stakeholders.

  • Management accounting experience in client support role.

  • Making impactful finance to business presentations.

  • Post qualified experience in industry or financial services.

  • Having the right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role.  QBE may consider sponsorship at its discretion.
