We are now looking for an experienced Bar Supervisor to join our leadership team and help uphold our reputation for excellence.
Role Overview
The Bar Supervisor will play a key role in the smooth running of our bar operations. You will lead by example, support staff during peak periods, and ensure outstanding service is delivered at all times. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role suited to someone confident, organised, and passionate about nightlife and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Bar Operations
- Oversee the daily running of bar areas across the venue
- Ensure bars are fully stocked, organised, clean and operating efficiently
- Maintain high standards of product quality, presentation, and speed of service
- Support stock control procedures, including ordering, deliveries, rotation & waste management
Team Leadership
- Supervise, motivate, and support bar staff throughout service
- Assist with staff training, onboarding, and performance development
- Lead pre-shift briefings and ensure staff are aware of promotions & service expectations
- Handle staff queries and help resolve issues on busy nights
Customer Experience
- Deliver high-level customer service, ensuring guests receive a premium experience
- Manage customer complaints professionally and efficiently
- Maintain a visible presence on the bar during peak times
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all licensing laws, Challenge 25 and venue policies are followed
- Promote safe working practices and maintain a clean, hygienic environment
- Support with venue incident reporting and operational logs
Cash & Admin Duties
- Assist with cash handling, tills, reconciliation, and banking procedures
- Report stock usage and assist with weekly stock counts
- Communicate effectively with management regarding staff, stock and shift performance
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a bar supervisor or team-leader role (nightclub or high-volume bar preferred)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire a busy team
- Confident, calm, and professional under pressure
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Keen eye for detail and high standards
- Understanding of licensing laws, Challenge 25, and bar safety requirements
- Flexible and able to work late nights, weekends, and peak trading periods
