Practice Accountant Fully Remote

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant (full or part time) to join a growing team in a fully remote role.

This position is perfect for a candidate seeking the flexibility of working from home, with the ability to set your own hours and maintain a healthy work-life balance. A dedicated home office is essential as this is a fully remote position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Handling VAT returns, including full and partial bookkeeping
  • Liaising with clients and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Managing day-to-day tasks to ensure the smooth running of the office
  • Providing a wide range of non-audit services to OMB and SME clients
  • Offering strong tax support as part of the overall service


The Ideal Candidate:

  • You will be a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or studying towards Level 4 certification.
  • Previous experience in general practice is preferred
  • You should hold or be working towards certifications with accounting software providers such as Xero, QuickBooks, or FreeAgent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for dealing with clients
  • A keen interest in tax is required
  • You must have the ability to build strong relationships with clients and proactively address their needs


Additional Requirements:

A valid driving license and access to a car for occasional client visits and company meetings.
Your home office must be within a 10-mile radius of the registered office location for occasional local meetings
