Who we are

Reed Wellbeing is a public services provider that aims to support people in making sustainable lifestyle changes to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. Since 2015, we have been delivering a range of evidence-based, person centred interventions and services, including: NHS Health Checks, Smoking Cessation, Weight Management and Type 2 Diabetes Prevention and Treatment.

Our Stoke Stop Smoking service is designed to help participants manage their journey to stop or cut down on their smoking. The service includes free expert advice and guidance, tailored plans, and access to nicotine replacement therapies.

What is the role about?

Outreach and Delivery Coaches are critical to the successful delivery of Reed Wellbeing's world class evidence-based health and wellbeing behavioural lifestyle interventions. In this role, you’ll be responsible for engagement and delivery of (SERVICE) interventions through effective stakeholder management and personalised coaching techniques.

Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include

Taking Ownership

  • Promoting Reed Wellbeing’s services to the local community at events or remotely.
  • Delivering health & wellbeing interventions to participants

Being Fair, Open, and Honest

  • Measuring and capturing participants progress and programme performance on Reed Wellbeing systems in line with SLA’s

Working Together

  • Building and strengthening referral pathways with key partners such as GP practices, local employers, and community groups.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • Experience of coaching or facilitating diverse participant groups.
  • An understanding of/experience in working with groups to achieve sustained behavioural or lifestyle improvements, such as losing weight, moving more, or stopping smoking.
  • Experience of working to targets and driving performance improvement.
  • Ability to establish an effective and appropriate rapport with key stakeholders and participants.
  • Active listening skills whilst maintaining a non-judgemental perspective on participant’s lifestyle, weight, and health.
  • Ability to communicate sensitively and accurately, information regarding an individual’s health, weight or CO reading.
  • Willingness to undertake evening and weekend work as required.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel in order to deliver programmes across designated region.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • REPs Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification or equivalent; or
  • Level 3 qualification in health improvement or promotion or public health or equivalent (eg. City & Guilds Level 3 Health Trainer or equivalent); or
  • Level 3 qualification in nutrition; or
  • Level 3 Training qualification (eg. PTTLs/Award in Education & Training)
  • or NCSCT Smoking Cessation Practitioner training
