Finance Team Leader - Cash Posting & Allocation

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and inspiring Team Leader to join our growing Finance team in Leeds on a hybrid
basis. You’ll lead a team of IBA Specialists, ensuring client money is posted and allocated accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with FCA regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine leadership, technical expertise, and process improvement in a fast-paced environment.

The new and modern office is in Leeds city centre approx. 10 minutes’ walk from the train and bus station and along a bus route.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage a team of IBA Specialists, including recruitment, training, HR processes, and appraisals.
  • Conduct quarterly 1:1 performance reviews, set monthly targets, and motivate your team to achieve personal and business goals.
  • Coach and develop team members, identifying strengths and training needs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Drive performance against KPIs and business objectives, reporting progress to senior management.
  • Organise and prioritise daily workloads to meet agreed SLAs and quality standards.
  • Support external audits by providing information and process walk-throughs, ensuring all balances are appropriately supported.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA client and insurer money rules, acting as the first line of defence in identifying and investigating breaches.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of IBA operations, especially cash posting and allocation.
  • Proven leadership experience – whether as a project lead or senior team member.
  • Confident with MS Office, particularly Excel (intermediate level).
  • Excellent communication skills across all mediums.
  • Analytical and investigative mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to build strong stakeholder relationships.
